Another of Fergusson's 'on the spot' impressionist Paris Street Scene sketches painted in the year he seems to have taken up permanent residence in Paris.
Possibly depicts the Boulevard St Michel, which was then an important focus for 'alternative Parisian Society' - a meeting point for artists, students and intellectuals.
With brushstrokes merely summarising form, Fergusson sharpens local colour capturing the animation of the Boulevard St Michel on a bright summer's day.
